| Abstrak | The article discusses factors enhancing the development o f international cooperation in m ilitary education limited to several chosen aspects o f educating foreign m ilitary personnel in Polish m ilitary schools between 2013-2017. Such cooperation is conducted through making contact with foreign partners and participation in mutual events in the field o f science, research and didactics, as well as the exchange o f students and teaching staff. Additionally, the paper presents legal conditions for the education o f foreigners prim arily the regulations o f the Higher Education Act by which the Minister o f National Defence is authorised to coordinate the cooperation o f Polish and foreign schools and academies as a p art o f international agreements. Moreover, the priorities o f the cooperation are also mentioned. Such priorities are treated as an effective tool in supporting the process o f the creation o f a friendly international environment and as a part o f trying to achieve some kind o f unification o f education and training. One o f the best examples o f such a priority is an increase o f exchanges o f m ilitary students that were made possible by the establishment o f a system ofexchange ofstudents from m ilitary higher education institutions (officer cadets) and this programme is called the European Initiative forthe Exchange o f Young Officers (Military ERASMUS). Asignificantroleforthedevelopment ofinternational cooperation isalso played by V degree studies (bachelor degree), run in the English language, conducted by three Polish m ilitary academies Naval Academy, M ilitary University o f Land Forces and Air Force Academy. Finally, postgraduates studies, English language courses on different levels, according to STANAG 6001, and the Polish language course for foreigners complete the educational offer for the foreign partners. |
